At the age of 8, Fred began building motors for his family’s Drag cars and later began working Summer’s with his father at the family service station.
After high school, Fred worked for some of the leading automotive and customization and fabrication shops in southern CA — working his way to National Technical Assistance Manager for the countries top automotive security companies in the U.S.
In addition to his extensive technical knowledge, Fred is also a published writer and author of numerous automotive trade articles and industry service manuals.
Building Sand rails, custom motorcycles, Trucks, Jeeps and More.
In 2012 his hobby business began going into a more full-time occupation with the national recognition and publication of one of our builds, followed shortly thereafter by another one, and then another.
His builds became national hits and can be seen across all the Internet, multiple magazines, and catalogs. With that, New Mexico Jeep Builders was Born.
In 2014 Fred retired from his Public Service career and focused full-time on the business. Since then he has focused his business on quality work, craftsmanship, and, above all, customer service by building and designing the perfect vehicle for his customers. Because after all, “It’s your Jeep. Your Way”.
After 8 strong years we are proud to keep moving forward with the renaming and reopening of Dirty Dog Off-road.
